DA SEEN
Who we are:
-A group of women from across the four partner specialist domestic abuse outreach services in Surrey (listed below) who have all experienced domestic abuse or femicide
-Women who are passionate and committed to using their experience to inform services, educate statutory agencies and staff, and help other women.
-Women for whom trauma is a lasting daily experience.
-Majority have children who have witnessed or directly experienced DA themselves. We also have experience of child on parent violence as a result of trauma from DA
-Women who have faced additional barriers due to disability, racism, culture, faith, homophobia, mental health and financial hardship.
-Women who have experienced all forms of DA.
